Boo (2009)

Ever wondered what it’s like to get away with murder?

When he was born, his parents called him Beau. It means beautiful. Overtime as the years went by the other children started to call him Boo. Though no one could remember if it was because he was afraid of them or they were afraid of him.

Inspired by the character of Boo Radley, the strange yet familiar, frightening yet friendly character from To Kill a Mockingbird. In this creative and morally challenging show retold by Mike Kenny, Mind the Gap asked what happens if, like Boo, you do not fit in.

Set in a modern estate, two children are fascinated and terrified of the ‘bogeyman’ they cannot see. Boo takes the audience on a journey exploring difference, prejudice and justice.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to get away with murder? Boo will tell you, if you promise not to tell…

Boo’s Tour
One of the most challenging productions by Mind the Gap. It performed across the country in 2009 including The Albany in London, Ustinov studio in Bath and the Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton.
