Creative Doodle Book
The Book
The Creative Doodle Book consists of a series of playful activities and instructions designed to encourage creativity.
Creativity is about being imaginative, adventurous and free.
We believe that creativity is essential to everybody’s wellbeing. Through being creative we are able to express our thoughts and feelings in ways that are constructive and provide a sense of agency.
We are all creative, but sometimes we need a little help – the blank page or empty space can be daunting. The Creative Doodle Book is full of ideas designed to get people thinking and being creative, to be used by individuals or as part of a community group practice.
The Creative Doodle Book contains playful, creative activities divided into three sections:
Tasks to make you Do
Instruction-based ideas designed to help you be creative.
Tasks to help you Think
Thinking is hard and we hope these pages can make it fun and engaging.
Task to help you Reflect
We learn through reflecting on what we’ve done before. These pages support you in doing just that.
The Creative Doodle Book was developed in collaboration between researcher Matthew Reason, illustrator Brian Hartley and artists from Mind the Gap Theatre Company.
