In January 2017 our critically acclaimed show CONTAINED will be appearing at the Crossing the Line Festival in Roubaix, France.
The festival will be the culmination of a two-year Creative Europe funded partnership project with Moomsteatern (Malmö, Sweden) and Compagnie de l’Oiseau Mouche (Roubaix, France).
Mind the Gap has always been committed to reaching the widest possible audiences. As the Crossing the Line Festival will be taking place in France, we are exploring ways of making CONTAINED accessible for French audiences.
On Monday 6 June we worked with French speaking performer Alex Elliot to look at ways of translating and interpreting CONTAINED ready for the festival next year. We spent the day experimenting with different creative solutions. We are now very excited to develop these ideas further over the coming months! Through the Crossing the Line partnership Mind the Gap is developing a better understanding of the needs of international audiences. This will influence the ways in which we create work in the future.
Save the date: The Crossing the Line Festival will take place from 24 – 26 January 2017. Alongside CONTAINED you will be able to experience work by other European learning-disabled theatre companies including our partners Moomsteatern and Compagnie de l’Oiseau Mouche.
